In the year 1960
Carroll Signs & Advertising was founded by Lewis Carroll. The business was more of a hobby back in those days, but the passion for sign making quickly made this hobby a full-time business. Hand lettering was the primary craft in the early days along with screen printing. Lewis had a full time job and depended upon his wife Nan to take care of the “hobby” business during the day and he would burn the midnight oil when he returned home from his day job.

His son Kyle Carroll graduated from Appalachian State University and decided to join the family business. Together they have worked to grow the business with modern technology.

They moved the business to a larger facility in King, NC. The same principles that the company was founded on still remain as the the cornerstone of our business.
